POSITION OVERVIEW

Canon Healthcare USA, Inc. (CHCU) is seeking a proactive Manager of IT to architect, execute, and deliver exceptional, round-the-clock enterprise-level IT support within mid-sized organizational networks. This role involves the design, administration, and support of CHCU's LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/SDWAN, servers, switches, storage solutions, and desktop/laptop computing environments.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the technical acumen necessary to supervise network hardware, formulate procedures to address intricate hardware and software challenges within an IT framework; design and deploy network infrastructure for an expanding organization; and manage, document, and troubleshoot the M365 platform, which includes Office365, Exchange online, MS Teams, SharePoint online, and Microsoft Windows 11 desktop OS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Guarantee the availability, reliability, security, and prompt resolution of network infrastructure issues.
  • Conduct system and daily IT operations, including:

- Administering Ubiquiti firewall, access points, and switches.

- Overseeing and monitoring overall data security.

- Installing enterprise-grade hardware and software.

- Ensuring successful execution of data backups.

- Monitoring antivirus servers and updates.

  • Install, upgrade, document, and troubleshoot network hardware/software including PCs, servers, internet connectivity, printers, and manage CHCU's VOIP phone system.
  • Administer and resolve issues related to:

- M365 environment, enterprise applications, including MS Entra ID, Exchange online, Windows Defender,

Ubiquiti Wi-Fi networks, SharePoint online.

- Various M365 user policies, user environments, directories, group memberships, and security levels.

  • Provide consistent and timely communication to CHCU leadership and staff regarding all system-related matters and anticipated downtimes.
  • Procure IT equipment and oversee inventory management.
  • Conduct hardware and software training sessions for end users.
  • Manage the IT onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Perform monthly off-hour maintenance on all CHCU IT equipment.
  • Establish an optimal network environment with external clinical and hospital collaboration sites.
  • Uphold all Canon IT standards.
  • Collaborate with various Canon subsidiaries as required.
  • Lead the IT team as the organization expands.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • B.S. or M.S. in Information Technology or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • At least 8-10 years of IT experience in an engineering capacity.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Experience in supporting and managing a data center.
  • Certification or equivalent knowledge in one or more of the following:

- Microsoft certifications such as MCSA or MCSE.

- Cisco certifications such as CCENT or CCNA.

- CompTIA certifications such as Network+ or Security+.

- M365 certification preferred but not mandatory.

  • Comprehensive understanding of LAN/WAN architecture, including routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience collaborating with senior management.

Key Competencies

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft's Windows desktop operating system, MS Azure environment, and related technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in project management and the capacity to work independently in a production network environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain effective internal and external collaborative relationships.

WORK LOCATION

  • This position is based on-site.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Willingness to undertake domestic travel (up to 10% of time).
