This role is pivotal in overseeing the daily activities related to our fleet and flight crews, ensuring excellence in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily oversight of Flexjet aircraft and its designated flight personnel.
  • Provide management and support to flight crew members.
  • Analyze and review aircraft performance metrics.
  • Act as a technical resource for the Owners Services and Sales Departments.
  • Engage in proactive management of flight operations alongside the Operational Control Center.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Chief Pilots to develop, implement, and ensure adherence to company and aircraft-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of standard aircraft checklists.

Supervisory Duties:

The Aviation Operations Manager will be responsible for conducting crew interviews, providing hiring recommendations, monitoring training and evaluation events for assigned crew members, assessing crew performance, and addressing any issues or complaints that arise.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related aviation field is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an aviation setting.
  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of FARs concerning Part 91, 121, or 135 airline operations.
  • Must hold an ATP rating.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the company’s Standard Operating Procedures, Flight Operations Manual, and applicable Federal Regulations is essential.

Essential Skills:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and quick to learn company-specific software.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a positive attitude to foster effective collaboration within the flight department and across other departments.

The Aviation Operations Manager role requires flexibility in scheduling, including potential night and weekend responsibilities.
