Job Title: Line Cook

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Line Cook to join our team at Kona Grill - Dallas. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by preparing and presenting high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from assigned stations, ensuring that all menu items are executed to perfection.
  • Menu Execution: Maintain a thorough understanding of our menu and be able to execute all menu items for assigned stations.
  • Work Safety and Emergency Procedures: Demonstrate a complete understanding of work safety and emergency procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Food Tickets and Recipe Cards: Understand how to read food tickets and utilize standardized recipe cards and plating guides to ensure consistency and quality in our dishes.
  • Quality Standards: Maintain our high quality standards consistently, resulting in positive feedback from guests and colleagues alike.
  • Timeliness and Communication: Ensure that all food products are prepared and presented in a timely manner, maintaining expected timeliness of orders from the kitchen to the dining room.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Assist other kitchen staff as needed, maintaining good communication standards with teammates and management.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Ensure that all food products are prepared in a clean and sanitary manner, adhering to health department sanitation requirements and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform all duties with enthusiasm, dedication, and professionalism, completing any additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Work Experience: Previous experience in a high-volume or fast-casual dining restaurant environment is preferred.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours while maintaining a fun and positive attitude.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work flexible hours and maintain a flexible schedule.
