We're seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. As a Line Cook, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to restaurant specifications, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period.
  • Follow standard portion size, cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Implement proper sanitation practices to prevent food spoilage and contamination, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
  • Maintain a clean work station area, including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, and refrigeration equipment.
  • Assist in daily cleaning of the pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in, and prep area.
  • Report any maintenance or repairs needed to the Executive Chef.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, restaurant rules, and regulations outlined in the Employee Handbook and by management.

Requirements

  • 2 years of previous experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or culinary environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills for high-quality food production.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction or supervision to complete assigned tasks.
  • Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
  • Training in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage.
  • Able to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Establish a positive rapport with various personalities.
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
