Strategic Consulting Program Leader

The Strategic Consulting Program Leader will take charge of the planning, execution, and successful delivery of consulting initiatives across various clients. This position demands a strategic mindset coupled with robust leadership capabilities to manage intricate projects, guarantee client satisfaction, and promote ongoing enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relations: Serve as the main liaison for clients, fostering strong connections with essential stakeholders, including IT executives and business units. Grasp the client's goals and ensure the program aligns with their strategic vision.
- Program Oversight: Direct the comprehensive delivery of the program, encompassing assessment, design, implementation, and optimization. Formulate a clear program roadmap, establish milestones, and oversee the program's scope, budget, and timeline.
- IT Service Management Expertise: Utilize your extensive knowledge of ITSM frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, and ISO/IEC 20000 to evaluate the client's current situation, pinpoint gaps, and devise a customized improvement strategy. Assist the client in embracing industry best practices.
- Process Optimization: Create and execute standardized processes that enhance service delivery, boost efficiency, and mitigate risks. Collaborate with client teams to integrate these processes into their daily operations.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges throughout the program lifecycle. Formulate mitigation strategies and collaborate with client stakeholders to proactively address issues.
- Performance Evaluation: Set metrics and KPIs to gauge the program's success. Provide regular updates and reports to the client's leadership, emphasizing achievements, risks, and areas for further enhancement.
- Team Leadership: Guide a cross-functional team of consultants, analysts, and subject matter experts. Ensure that the team is aligned with program objectives and deliverables, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Change Facilitation: Collaborate with the change management team to drive the necessary cultural and operational changes for successful program adoption. Offer training, coaching, and support to client teams to ensure they are prepared to maintain improvements.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience in program management, particularly in IT service management or IT operations within a consulting context.
- Strong proficiency in ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, ISO/IEC) and experience implementing these within large organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-year programs in a consulting capacity, delivering measurable enhancements in IT service maturity.
- Exceptional client-facing skills with the capacity to build trusted advisor relationships at all organizational levels.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic consulting environment.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
- Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy) is preferred.
- Experience with major consulting firms is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.
