The Human Resources Coordinator will assist the HR department by managing daily operational and administrative tasks, including support with payroll and various HR initiatives.

The HR Coordinator should be proactive and capable of anticipating the needs of the department. The HR Generalist will take on these responsibilities when the position is unfilled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Effectively manage the onboarding process for all new employees, ensuring that they complete and comprehend necessary paperwork, practices, and policies prior to commencing training.

Collaborate with the HR Generalist in the recruitment process for hourly staff, including conducting interviews and making selections.

Oversee the engagement of temporary staff with vendors and serve as a liaison to management by coordinating assignments, terminating temporary roles, and managing invoice processes and monthly reporting.

Keep employees informed about benefits-related activities, meetings, and various HR programs, procedures, and policies.
Consult with HR on employee matters and provide tailored human resources solutions to align with business objectives.

Ensure accurate processing of payroll documentation for changes, including new hires, transfers, terminations, promotions, etc.

Assist in managing employee leave of absence processes.
Foster a positive employee relations environment that addresses employee concerns and adheres to progressive management practices.
Advise managers and employees on company policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
Maintain and update employee records to document personnel actions and facilitate payroll and other administrative needs.
Handle administrative tasks related to employee benefits and payroll adjustments.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of timesheets and assist with payroll submissions within established deadlines.
Compile weekly HR reports (e.g., headcounts, attendance, etc.)
Maintain regulatory postings, community bulletin boards, and other resources for employee information and culture.
Support the HR Team and Office Staff in organizing employee engagement activities.
This role does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned.

Professional verbal and written communication abilities
Capability to read and interpret documents such as safety guidelines, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.

  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills are essential. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
