Position Overview:
The Rothman Orthopaedics team is seeking a dedicated and professional individual to fill the role of a full-time Front Desk Receptionist in our Physical Therapy department. This position is essential in ensuring a smooth operation within our clinic and providing exceptional service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Front Desk Receptionist, your primary duties will include:
  • Welcoming patients and visitors with a friendly demeanor and assisting them promptly.
  • Managing patient check-ins, verifying and updating personal and insurance details in our electronic system.
  • Utilizing our electronic health record system to document patient arrivals and manage referral information.
  • Processing co-payments and entering relevant notes for the Business Office.
  • Coordinating follow-up appointments with Physical Therapy Providers and managing the therapists' schedules effectively.
  • Conducting benefit verifications for new patients and ensuring all necessary documentation is submitted to insurance providers.
  • Tracking authorized therapy visits and notifying therapists when additional authorizations are required.
  • Preparing comprehensive new patient packets that include necessary forms and questionnaires.
  • Handling incoming calls, screening inquiries, and providing accurate information to patients.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized front desk area and waiting room.
  • Assisting patients with mobility challenges and ensuring a welcoming environment for all.
  • Preparing daily reports and balancing end-of-day transactions.
  • Collaborating with the Patient Responsible team to address outstanding balances.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in a medical office setting.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures is preferred.
