Position: People & Culture Generalist
We are seeking a dedicated People & Culture Generalist to enhance our HR capabilities. Established in 1994, JR Butler Inc. is a prominent commercial glass and glazing contractor located in Englewood, Colorado, recognized for our commitment to excellence and the development of our workforce. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and document standard operating procedures within the People & Culture division.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data in our HR Information System (HRIS).
- Support training initiatives and provide ongoing coaching for new hires.
- Offer guidance on personnel policies and procedures to both employees and management.
- Stay informed about federal and state employment laws and compliance standards, including OSHA regulations.
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including open enrollments and updates to HRIS.
- Manage internal communications regarding changes in status, benefits, or company policies.
- Develop and manage the company’s social media presence, creating standard operating procedures for each platform.
- Assist in processing unemployment claims, disability claims, and wage verifications.
- Participate in the disciplinary process, including conflict mediation and documentation.
- Conduct investigations and prepare reports in line with established standards.
- Notify department heads of employee review timelines.
- Communicate 401k and benefits enrollment eligibility to new employees.
- Maintain company policies and collaborate with the People & Culture Manager on revisions and staff education.
- Monitor employee morale and foster a positive company culture.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- File annual compliance reports, such as EEO-1 and OSHA 300.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist or Administrative role, demonstrating knowledge of the Human Resources field.
- HR certification is highly preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
- Familiarity with state and federal employment regulations.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance.
- Experience in managing personnel and compliance records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of handling sensitive situations with professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with Paycom is preferred.
- Background in a construction or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and using a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Annual salary range of $56,000 - $70,000, based on experience, plus potential bonuses.
- Eligibility for discretionary performance-based bonuses after one year.
