Skyline Products is a leading manufacturer of sign solutions for the transportation and petroleum industries. We are seeking a skilled Sales Representative to join our team and drive business growth in the Retail Petroleum market.

Job Summary:

The Sales Representative will be responsible for leading the sales process, from lead generation to closing business, with small and medium companies in the Retail Petroleum market. This includes identifying opportunities, creating sales strategies, delivering value propositions, and justifying investment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales of gas price signs and services to retail petroleum operators
  • Presentation and communication of products and services to prospects and customers
  • Needs assessment and value communication to sales prospects
  • Understanding and communication of technical specifications and features of products/services
  • Relationship development and maintenance with day-to-day contacts, leaders, and C-level contacts within customers
  • Customer base maintenance and future opportunity generation
  • Scope and customer expectation management
  • Regular customer contact and visibility
  • Issue and risk management in post-implementation customer contracts
  • Contract and pricing proposal preparation using standard templates and guidelines
  • Training provision in new and existing accounts
  • Timely sales order processing and follow-up invoicing efforts
  • Industry trend, product development, and competitor offering awareness
  • Potential prospect identification, research, and sales plan implementation
  • Cold calling and marketing to favorable prospects
  • CRM maintenance
  • Participation in customer events and tradeshows
  • Travel to 50-70% of customer sites

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in technical sales within the manufacturing industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and management skills
  • Self-motivation and results orientation
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven willingness to commit additional time and effort when necessary
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with NetSuite or other CRM tools

Compensation:

The salary for this position starts at a minimum of $70-80k base, with commission eligibility.
