Position Summary: The Clinical Coordinator (CC)/Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the clinical operations of the Wound Care Center. This encompasses comprehensive patient care assessment, strategic care planning, and the execution of quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and prioritize clinical duties, ensuring effective management of clinical staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs) and Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs).
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, hospital personnel, and leadership to address clinical and patient care needs.
  • Continuously evaluate existing processes, identifying opportunities for enhancement while adhering to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Facilitate staff development through training sessions and personalized guidance.
  • Recognize and reward staff contributions through constructive feedback and positive reinforcement.
  • Assist in the financial and budgetary coordination of program objectives alongside the Program Director.
  • If applicable, manage vein clinic operations post-training.
  • Work with leadership to achieve quality indicators for the Wound Care Center.
  • May serve as a Documentation Assistant in compliance with organizational policies.
  • After completing necessary training, may assume hyperbaric safety director responsibilities and operate hyperbaric chambers as needed.
  • Deliver patient care in alignment with staffing requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Wound care certification is advantageous.

Skills Required:

  • Strong planning, organization, and time-management capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Effective team-building and motivational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospital databases and web-based applications.

Work Environment:

  • Normal office and patient care settings.
  • Exposure to potential hazards, including bloodborne pathogens and toxic substances.
  • Involves physical activities such as lifting and moving items, as well as extended periods of computer use.
