Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Financial Services Center Supervisor is responsible for guiding a team of Associates and overseeing the daily operations of the Financial Center. This role includes managing functions that support the Teller line, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and enhancing the performance of the Financial Center, particularly in the areas of deposit growth, loan origination, and referrals to other banking partners. The Supervisor plays a critical role in driving branch performance through personal sales achievements and leading the entire team to surpass sales and service quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance Financial Center and Market profitability by promoting daily service and sales activities that comply with policy standards for customer and operational excellence, while also meeting regulatory compliance requirements. Coach and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and contribute to the Financial Center's balance sheet growth through expertise in bank products.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels based on operational needs; oversee all operational activities to guarantee transaction accuracy and effective execution of leadership tasks.
  • Administer daily operations efficiently, ensuring compliance with FirstBank policies, procedures, and internal audits.
  • Mentor Associates to ensure efficiency and compliance with established customer service standards, operational procedures, transaction accuracy, and customer engagement practices.
  • Relay information from the Market President to staff, ensuring consistent communication of FirstBank standards, expectations, and values.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of Consumer and Commercial loans, making decisions on loans within set limits and referring larger or specialized loans to bank partners as necessary.
  • Review and approve all account documentation, focusing on credit quality related to loans, and oversee the loan closing process.
  • Engage in Bank and community initiatives to enhance FirstBank's visibility and relevance within the assigned Market.
  • Build and nurture relationships with existing customers, continuously deepening those connections to achieve deposit and loan objectives.
  • Provide support to Tellers and/or Financial Service Representatives as needed.
  • Resolve issues through effective problem-solving techniques.
  • Establish a standard of consistent, exceptional service for all customers, embodying the FirstBank service experience.
  • Uphold safe and sound banking practices, including compliance with applicable laws and regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies; adhere to security protocols.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Direct and manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work; ensure quality standards are met; foster the FirstBank culture and tone. Participate actively in decisions regarding hiring, termination, training, development, performance reviews, and corrective actions for staff.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum of five years in a related field.

Certifications and Licenses: National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) Certification and Credit Life Insurance License required within the first year of employment; must be bonded within the first six months of employment.
