Job Overview

Tesoro Group is on the lookout for a skilled Housing Support Program Coordinator to become a vital part of our client's team. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of three years' experience in a similar capacity, alongside at least two years of experience in executing Human Services initiatives aimed at mental health, substance use, and homelessness.

This role will involve managing two properties, each with unique characteristics and resident needs.

Compensation: $28-$30/hour based on qualifications. This position is structured as a contract with the potential for long-term employment.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with occasional weekend availability during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee resident-focused programs and services that prioritize housing stability.
  • Collaborate with property management to provide education on lease agreements and assist residents in overcoming compliance challenges.
  • Encourage resident engagement through support for associations and activities, fostering community relationships to enhance housing stability.
  • Manage site budgets, maintain client case documentation weekly, and distribute monthly communications to residents.
  • Foster positive relationships within the community and surrounding areas.
  • Provide remote support for other sites as needed during staffing shortages.
  • Conduct quarterly meetings with the resident community board and distribute agendas in advance.
  • Ensure compliance with existing grant requirements.
  • Assist residents in organizing community-building activities, including educational workshops and social events.
  • Coordinate the publication of a monthly newsletter.
  • Oversee monthly food deliveries from local pantries and manage summer meal site operations.
  • Engage with volunteers at the summer meal site, assigning tasks and ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, promoting collaborative problem-solving and professional growth.
  • Work in conjunction with property management and other departments within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass a DHS background check prior to employment.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or a minimum of three years' experience in a related area.
  • Two years of experience in implementing human service programs for diverse populations.
  • Two years of experience in programs addressing mental health, substance use, and homelessness.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based intervention models.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid or willingness to obtain certification within six months of employment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse communities across various demographics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and web-based applications.
  • Ability to respond promptly to property management concerns regarding resident lease adherence.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for resident transportation.
