Job Overview

Tesoro Group is in search of a skilled Housing Support Program Coordinator to become part of our esteemed client's team. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of three years' experience in a similar capacity, along with at least two years of expertise in executing Human Services initiatives aimed at addressing mental health, substance use, and homelessness.

This position is structured as a contract role, with the possibility of transitioning to a long-term opportunity for the right individual.

Compensation: $28-$30/hour based on qualifications. This role is contract-to-hire, subject to a 90-day evaluation period.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional weekend availability required during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, coordinate, and document the delivery of resident-focused programs and services aimed at ensuring housing stability.
  • Collaborate with property management to provide lease education and assist residents in overcoming challenges related to lease compliance.
  • Support resident associations and activities, fostering leadership development through technical and resource assistance. Build collaborative community relationships to enhance resident housing stability.
  • Oversee site budgets, maintain weekly client case notes, and develop monthly communications for residents.
  • Encourage positive relationships within the community and surrounding areas.
  • Provide remote support for other sites as needed, covering phone and email communications during staffing shortages.
  • Engage with the resident community board quarterly, distributing meeting agendas and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with existing grant requirements.
  • Assist residents in organizing community-building activities, including educational workshops and social events.
  • Coordinate the publication of a monthly newsletter.
  • Manage monthly grocery deliveries from local food pantries.
  • Supervise summer meal site operations and volunteer assignments.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, promoting collaborative problem-solving and professional growth.
  • Work closely with property management and other departments within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass a DHS background check prior to employment.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or a minimum of three years' experience in a related role.
  • Two years of experience in implementing human service programs for diverse populations.
  • Two years of experience in programs addressing mental health, substance use, and homelessness.
  • Two years of experience utilizing evidence-based intervention models.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid, or willingness to obtain certification within six months of employment.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with diverse communities across various demographics.
  • Proficient in MS Office and web-based applications.
  • Ability to respond promptly to property management concerns regarding resident lease adherence.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle for resident transportation.
