Medication Administration Specialist - Flexible Shifts Available

Compensation: $22.00 per hour (based on experience)

Role Overview:

The Medication Administration Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing and assisting with the medication management process for residents, ensuring adherence to established healthcare standards and company policies. This position also involves providing direct personal care and fostering resident engagement in various activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and distribute medications to residents in a timely manner. Collaborate with residents, pharmacies, and healthcare providers to coordinate medication services. Manage and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries. Maintain accurate and confidential records of resident medications and care. Ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents and staff, adhering to safety protocols. Promote teamwork through effective communication and collaboration with colleagues across departments.

Qualifications:

A minimum of one (1) year of experience in medication assistance within a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) is preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent; a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) certification is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.) is required. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. A strong commitment to providing compassionate care for the elderly. Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Successful completion of a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests is mandatory. In alignment with health and safety protocols, compliance with vaccination and screening requirements may be necessary.
