Job Summary

Illinois Action for Children is seeking a highly skilled Employee and Labor Relations Manager to join our Human Resources team. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for all aspects of employee and labor relations, including counseling management on performance improvement processes, employee/management mediation, disciplinary actions, and employee separations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel management on performance improvement processes and employee/management mediation
  • Administer IAFC's employee recognition program
  • Oversee employee rewards and recognition programs
  • Participate in negotiations and grievance settlement with Collective Bargaining Unit
  • Handle formal grievances by meeting with employees and union representatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in employee relations, human resources management, or HR generalist role
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Previous experience in interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements
