Role Overview:
The AVP Portfolio Manager is tasked with the critical responsibility of evaluating, structuring, underwriting, and facilitating the closure of Commercial Loans for the Equity Fund Resources division, ensuring adherence to the Bank's lending standards and protocols.

The Portfolio Manager will oversee loan management to guarantee that credit risks are diligently monitored and identified.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Relationship Manager to cultivate new client relationships and sustain existing ones, ensuring a seamless credit process from initiation to completion.
  • Engage with clients through various communication channels to assess their credit requirements and determine optimal structuring and documentation needed for analysis.
  • Collect and scrutinize necessary data to present, alongside the Relationship Manager, a financing proposal to senior management or the Loan Committee for endorsement.
  • Coordinate the processing of sanctioned loans, ensuring compliance with agreements, customer expectations, and Bank lending policies.
  • Gather sufficient information and documentation from clients and assist in resolving issues related to loan processing and servicing within the Relationship Manager's portfolio.
  • Exemplify superior customer service through proactive engagement and follow-through with clients and team members.
  • Manage various underwriting, portfolio management, and maintenance tasks related to new loan applications and the existing portfolio.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
- Exceptional knowledge of credit and underwriting practices in Commercial lending.
- Experience with Private Equity transactions is advantageous.
- Advanced expertise in financial statement and tax return analysis, typically acquired through education in accounting, finance, or credit analysis.
- Strong portfolio management capabilities to promptly identify credit issues and communicate them to the Relationship Manager.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficient in managing multiple credit requests simultaneously.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and a positive outlook.

Compensation:
The salary range for new hires typically falls between $107,000 and $131,287. Salary is determined by specific job location. Additionally, the role may qualify for annual bonuses and stock options.
