Role Summary

We are looking for an innovative and seasoned IT Specialist who can approach challenges with creativity and a proactive mindset. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the modernization of the Navy and Marine Corps' global network.

Essential Skills

General Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to deliver presentations and briefings as required

Specific Competencies:

  • Support information engineers in coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of projects.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement components of business and technical IT solutions using appropriate software development methodologies.
  • Engage with clients to understand their business environment, technical context, and strategic objectives.
  • Define project scope, plans, and deliverables. Gather, identify, define, and organize detailed user and IT requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze collected requirements ensuring solutions align with client needs.
  • Confirm and prioritize project plans and deliverables with stakeholders.
  • Participate in the implementation, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions of IT solutions.
  • Utilize metrics to monitor performance and assess critical project criteria.
  • Establish and maintain security, integrity, and business continuity controls and documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain system documentation.
  • Analyze and resolve business or technical issues using appropriate tools.
Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

  • IAT Level II Certification
  • CompTIA Security + Certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology (IT)
  • Proven experience in applying innovative solutions to IT challenges
  • Demonstrated initiative in professional settings
  • Experience in Information Systems (IS)
  • Specialized knowledge in areas such as assembly/integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, or cybersecurity is highly preferred
