Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is in search of a Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Intelligence Analysis Specialist to deliver comprehensive multi-discipline intelligence and military analysis regarding threat networks and other asymmetric challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of military intelligence processes, methodologies, and the operational dynamics of threat networks. Responsibilities include preparing assessments and analyses of potential deployment sites for pre-deployment forces, while crafting realistic scenarios that challenge the intelligence capabilities of training units.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize expertise in intelligence and threat analysis to identify adversarial capabilities, vulnerabilities, and potential actions.
- Stay updated on political-military developments and collaborate with various agencies to address intelligence gaps.
- Analyze activities and tactics of threat networks, including geospatial distribution and indications of potential attacks.
- Conduct comprehensive information retrieval and analysis to develop assessments of operational environments and adversarial involvement.
- Provide insights into enemy reactions to friendly operations and the potential consequences of operational planning.
- Develop accurate and realistic threat network narratives for integration into training exercises.
- Engage in exercises as necessary and fulfill roles as a high-level response cell during training scenarios.
- Support formal learning initiatives and contribute to operational planning across various military functions.
- Draft the Annex B and associated appendices for exercise operations orders.
- Create Collection Plans for all exercises and contribute to the Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) process.
- Deliver scenario-based intelligence briefings to the Exercise Development team.
Qualifications
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead planning efforts.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of discretion and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with strong attention to detail.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 15 years of experience as an intelligence analyst in specific disciplines (HUMINT, SIGINT) or in supervisory roles over Multi-INT personnel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ArcGIS and Analyst's Notebook.
- Knowledge of Joint and USMC targeting processes is essential.
- Familiarity with data mining applications is advantageous.
- Experience with advanced network analysis and operational planning teams is preferred.
- Military experience with deployments to expeditionary or contingency operations is required.
Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional fieldwork.
- Extended working hours may be necessary.
Travel Requirements
- Potential for travel outside the continental U.S. for training and operational support.
- Domestic travel may be required for training and coordination purposes.
