Overview:


The Regional Sales Manager for Business Travel is tasked with effectively engaging and developing relationships with all national and local negotiated accounts within their market segments.

This role involves prospecting and securing new accounts to positively influence hotel revenues.

Responsibilities:


Identify and cultivate new and existing accounts to achieve or surpass revenue targets through various outreach methods, including telephone calls, in-person meetings, site tours, and written correspondence.

Prepare customer communications, internal booking reports, and maintain organized files.
Participate in daily business review meetings, training sessions, and other sales-related gatherings as needed.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure exceptional service delivery to clients.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Address guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
Attend industry trade shows, community events, and meetings as required.
Stay informed about market trends, competition, and customer needs.
Demonstrate effectiveness in problem-solving, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues as they arise.
Analyze complex information and data from various sources to meet established objectives.
Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant business travel sales experience is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of market trends, competition, and key clients in the San Francisco area.
Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Experience analyzing STR data segmentation.
A solid understanding of effective sales strategies for corporate accounts, consortia, and agency business.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a strategic and innovative mindset.
Ability to tailor communication styles to different audiences, including C-suite and managerial level buyers.
Assertive and persuasive with a proactive approach.
Self-assured, capable of prioritizing tasks and making sound decisions.
Experience in business travel sales at hotels of similar size and quality is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of sales techniques, revenue management, and peer motivation.

Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions in response to changing market demands.

Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of employees and guests in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner is essential.

Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental responsibilities to meet deadlines.
Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
Attend all required meetings and training sessions.

Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company standards, as dictated by scheduling needs.

Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
Adhere to company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Maximize productivity efforts, identify areas for improvement, and assist in implementing solutions.
Demonstrate effectiveness in problem-solving, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and resolving issues as necessary.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Salary range:
($110,000 - $120,000 yr.)
