| Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing sales execution in all On-Premise and Off-Premise Independent accounts with a focus on key accounts, and supports National and Regional Chain accounts as needed.


Key areas of focus include the following:

  • Serves as primary contact for the distributor field level teams.
  • Along with VP of Sales, programs distributor including sales plans, programs and incentives.
  • Along with the National Merchandising Manager, helps create successful incentive/merchandising programs to deliver best in class execution for Gold Bar brands and maximize consumer awareness in independent accounts.
  • Measures and evaluates the performance of sales program execution and consumer awareness. Provides feedback to key internal stakeholders.
  • Champions the On-Premise and Off-Premise Independent accounts effort to win at the point of purchase for the entire Gold Bar portfolio.
  • Champions the On-Premise effort to win with backbar placements, drink lists and features.
  • Partners with Gold Bar sales team to share best practices and ensure consistencies.
  • Develops Individual Personal Growth Plans that align with Gold Bar growth and development plans.
  • Along with the VP of Sales, helps implement, monitor and manage the Gold Bar On-Premise Sales Training Programs.
  • Collaborate with multiple internal contacts and Gold Bar sales team to ensure execution against programming.
  • Connect with multiple external contacts including the distributor, customers and demo agencies.
  • Manage national/local POS consistent with brand merchandising requirements.
  • Manage account, customer, channel priorities and distribution targets.
  • Teach, train, educate, motivate and hold accountable distributor sales and merchandising teams to maximize brand building efforts.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reports to VP of Sales.
  • Partners with distributor, On-Premise and Off-Premise Independent accounts' customer contacts, Gold Bar sales team, National Merchandising Manager, and Gold Bar marketing team.

  • Functional knowledge of the sales process: Identifying new opportunities and applications that add value for the customer while enhancing the value for Gold Bar. Ability to manage large, multi-site clients. Demonstrated ability to drive sales and marketing growth while building brand equity.

Directs or allocates finite resources towards the achievement of specific plans, projects, goals or objectives which are identified as having precedence in importance. Ability to effectively manage and complete all aspects of complex projects.

Must have requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and maintain effective working relationships with distributor, On-Premise and Off-Premise Independent accounts' customer contacts, Gold Bar sales team, National Merchandising Manager, and Gold Bar marketing team.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, coaching and sales training skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of On-Premise and Off-Premise business in territory, as well as the three-tier distribution system.

Team player:

Able to put the needs of the overall Gold Bar business above the specific needs of the territory or team.

Seeks out opportunities to collaborate with leaders in other channels and territories. Communicates activity and seeks similar behavior from the entire Gold Bar team.

  • Literate with Google business products (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets and Slides) and word processing programs (such as Word), spreadsheet programs (such as Excel), and presentation programs (such as PowerPoint).
  • Must have valid state driver's license.
  • Physical ability to lift 60 pounds.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, plus 5 years industry experience, and/or related sales experience in a consumer products industry.
