Position Overview

The Regional Sales Leader (RSL) will oversee a dynamic sales team comprising Sales Representatives and Associate Sales Representatives within the designated region. The RSL serves as a crucial link to all key corporate resources to ensure that both immediate and long-term sales objectives are achieved profitably. This role involves collaboration with various departments, particularly Sales Operations, Marketing/Education, and Customer Support, to ensure optimal support for current and prospective surgeons while promoting a positive culture aligned with Treace's core values.

This position reports directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales and is primarily responsible for meeting the sales targets for the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for meeting the sales targets for the region while managing all activities in accordance with the regional expense budget.
  • Ensuring effective distributor engagement and support to cultivate a strong and sustainable customer pipeline.
  • Providing case coverage as necessary, including offering verbal technical guidance to surgeons and operating room staff.
  • Assisting in the recruitment, performance management, and transition of representatives as needed.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to develop a pipeline of new surgeon trainees and users.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of sales experience in the orthopedic medical device sector, with a focus on foot and ankle preferred.
  • Experience in sales coaching and team development is essential, with at least two years of experience leading direct sales teams preferred.
  • Comfortable operating in an Operating Room environment, providing instruction to surgeons.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70%, including overnight trips as necessary.
