Job Summary:

The Veterinary Receptionist is the first point of contact for clients and plays a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for pet owners. This position requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including medical history and contact information.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Schedule appointments and surgeries, ensuring timely and efficient communication with clients and staff.
  • Process payments and handle financial transactions, including credit card processing and check verification.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and other staff members to ensure seamless client care and efficient workflow.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
