Overview

Morrison Animal Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our front office, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, managing administrative tasks, and supporting our veterinary team in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming greetings to clients and their pets, ensuring a positive first impression of our hospital.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, handling client inquiries and providing knowledgeable advice on animal care and veterinary services.
  • Schedule appointments and surgeries, making confirmation calls and ensuring accurate documentation of client conversations.
  • Manage client accounts, including entering accurate charges, explaining invoices, and collecting payment.
  • Verify client eligibility for charge accounts and maintain accurate medical and computer records.
  • Fill prescriptions and provide routine administration instructions to clients.
  • Advise clients on flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventatives, and other retail items.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to our hospital's core values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of veterinary terminology and computer literacy.
  • Ability to handle varied and sometimes difficult situations, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to display tact and respect with clients and team members, even in busy or hectic situations.
