Position Overview: Financial Systems Specialist

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Financial Systems Specialist to enhance our finance and accounting operations. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth functioning of our financial software applications.

About Commercial Credit, Inc.: As a prominent provider of secured financing solutions to medium and large enterprises across the nation, Commercial Credit, Inc. plays a crucial role in facilitating business growth and stability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the testing, implementation, and upkeep of financial systems, which may involve travel to various company locations.
  • Maintain and update the chart of accounts for multiple business entities and ensure accurate mapping of financial reports.
  • Manage integrations with the general ledger system to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Act as a liaison for departmental initiatives across the organization.
  • Review and manage automated reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with IT to modify existing reports or create new reporting solutions.
  • Utilize accounting software workflows to ensure comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Identify and implement improvements within current systems to enhance operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee the annual review process of SOC1 reports.
  • Serve as the primary contact for external IT auditors.
  • Assist with internal audit requests and annual audit processes as necessary.
  • Engage in additional projects as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in accordance with PCAOB standards.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics GP and Management Reporter.
  • Strong technical writing capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Aspire, Great Plains, Management Reporter, and/or Kyriba is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • Experience with GAAP accounting and familiarity with PCAOB requirements.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance is desirable.
