Senior Specialist in Financial Crime Analysis

This position is offered by Apex Systems.

Compensation: $45-53 per hour

Location: Hybrid work model with onsite presence required.

Contract Duration: 12+ months

Role Overview:

  • Transaction Analysis: Execute thorough examinations of trade-related transactions, focusing on letters of credit and standby letters.
  • Activity Assessment: Evaluate the commercial viability of activities in accordance with customer standards.
  • Client Research: Conduct in-depth investigations on clients and compile comprehensive reports.
  • Documentation Management: Ensure that findings are accurately recorded in the System of Record (SOR).
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Provide timely responses to management requests, including data visualization and reporting.
  • Presentation Skills: Effectively communicate findings regarding client trading activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Trade Analysis: Scrutinize client trading data, extract pertinent information, and develop detailed reports and presentations.
  • Investigative Focus: Emphasize strong writing capabilities and analysis of negative news.
  • Quick Adaptation: Demonstrate the ability to respond swiftly and effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Excel Expertise: Utilize advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and presentation.
  • Business Communication: Exhibit exceptional writing proficiency for crafting detailed reports and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Investigative Experience: Background in special investigations, particularly involving high transaction volumes and intricate cases.
  • Trade Finance Knowledge: Understanding of trade finance mechanisms, especially letters of credit.
  • Writing Proficiency: Candidates with a strong foundation in writing are highly regarded.

Training: Comprehensive training will be provided; however, candidates with relevant experience will likely acclimate more swiftly. Expected workload includes managing 5-6 cases daily.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Engage in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Business Execution.
  • Contribute to strategic planning related to Business Execution outcomes.
  • Analyze and review moderately complex challenges within Business Execution.
  • Collaborate effectively with client personnel in Business Execution tasks.
