Job Title: Property Operations Assistant

Join ACL Digital as a Property Operations Assistant and play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our residential facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of our properties, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance and operations of our properties, including supervising custodial staff, building trades, and contractors.
  • Work closely with Faculty Deans and Resident Deans to provide a smoothly functioning House.
  • Interact with student residents, responding to occupant building problems/requests promptly and resolving them quickly.
  • Collaborate with Area Manager to manage budgets, select vendors, and maintain relationships with Harvard departments.
  • Direct day-to-day activities to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of work.
  • Maintain the security of our buildings through proper attention to access control, security procedures, and locking devices.
  • Review and monitor computer-based HVAC, security, and fire systems, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Work with OPR & P and Harvard University Office for Sustainability staff to implement best practices and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Respond to emergency situations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Advanced education and/or technical training beyond high school.
  • 5+ years' experience in physical facilities management, including staff supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience with building automated control systems, including security and HVAC.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to assess needs, set priorities, and handle stressful situations.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in work order systems, daily maintenance, invoice processing, budget, and payroll management.
  • Experience in managing physical facilities in a university setting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform daily physical activity.

Critical/Essential Status:

  • This position is designated as essential and critical to the operations of ACL Digital during emergency situations and severe inclement weather.
