Regional Human Resources Director

Job Summary
The American Heart Association is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Human Resources Director to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance and support to our leaders and employees in the Midwest region.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR support to employees throughout their lifecycle, including onboarding, employee relations, and talent development.
- Advise employees and managers on HR programs and procedures, including organizational development, talent succession, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Utilize HR metrics and data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in culture, leadership, and processes.
- Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying barriers to performance, implementing coaching and development strategies, and mentoring and counseling managers and employees.
- Lead assigned region-wide HR projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, SPHR/PHR preferred.
- Three (3) years of proven experience in HR, with at least two (2) years of experience providing employee and leadership coaching.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and ability to relate to and influence individuals at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, maintaining compliance, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and procedures.
- Exceptional Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Ability to complete and manage a variety of tasks and projects, particularly when faced with competing demands and priorities.
