Job Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Capture Executive within its Government Operations, Commerce, and Global Citizen Services Business Sector, a crucial element of GDIT's Federal Civilian Division.

The ideal candidate will report to the Sector's Growth Operations Lead and will be tasked with steering the capture processes in collaboration with business development leaders and solution architects.

This position will oversee pre-proposal shaping initiatives, coordinate capture activities throughout the proposal phase, and manage post-submission efforts, all while leading opportunities valued between $50M and $100M+ towards a high probability of success.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In partnership with Business Development Executives, the Senior Capture Executive will:

  • Develop, implement, and drive effective capture strategies for designated opportunities, including both new projects and recompete contracts.
  • Oversee the creation and validation of win themes, solution development, competitive analysis, teaming strategies, and pricing recommendations based on comprehensive assessments.
  • Manage the execution of capture efforts, ensuring performance aligns with budget and timelines while providing updates to leadership.
  • Support Business Development and Account Teams in cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners, including next-generation technology vendors.
  • Shape opportunities and enhance positioning throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Formulate and communicate an integrated business development, capture, and proposal strategy that effectively showcases GDIT's value proposition and competitive advantages.
  • Facilitate proposal management activities to support responses to RFPs, RFQs, Task Orders, or RFIs, including the creation of response templates and management of proposal calendars.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Program Management, Strategic Capture, Proposal Management, and/or Business Development. Alternatively, 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Technical Skills:
Experience utilizing systems such as GovWin, FPDS, etc.

Required Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in win theme development, pricing, and staffing activities. Experience in leading and negotiating teaming agreements and strategic partnerships. Ability to brief senior executives, including C-Suite members. Proven capability to establish and maintain a network with customers and industry participants. Demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating with subject matter experts, functional leads, and program teams. Strong understanding of various procurement types and contract types.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in capturing opportunities for Federal Civilian agencies. 5+ years of technical and/or program management experience.

Location:

This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to work out of the office a minimum of 1 day/week, with increased in-office presence as business needs evolve.
