Job Overview:

General Dynamics Information Technology is looking for a Senior Capture Executive within its Government Operations, Commerce, and Global Citizen Services Business Sector, a critical part of GDIT's Federal Civilian Division. The selected candidate will report to the Sector's Growth Operations Lead and will be tasked with steering the capture processes alongside business development leaders and solution architects. This position will oversee pre-proposal shaping initiatives, coordinate capture activities during the proposal phase, and manage post-submission tasks, focusing on opportunities valued between $50M and $100M+ to ensure a high probability of success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborating with Business Development Leaders, the Senior Capture Executive is accountable for crafting, implementing, and driving effective capture strategies for designated opportunities, encompassing both new projects and recompete contracts;
  • Overseeing the development and validation of win themes, solution creation, competitive analysis, teaming strategies, and pricing strategy recommendations based on comprehensive assessments;
  • Managing the execution of capture efforts, monitoring performance against budget and timeline, and updating leadership on progress;
  • Assisting Business Development and/or Account Teams in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners, including next-generation technology vendors;
  • Shaping opportunities and enhancing our positioning throughout the opportunity lifecycle;
  • Formulating and supporting the communication and execution of a cohesive business development, capture, and proposal strategy that clearly articulates GDIT's value proposition and differentiators, providing clients with a solid rationale for selecting GDIT for contract awards;
  • Facilitating proposal management tasks to support responses to RFPs, RFQs, Task Orders, or RFIs, which may include creating response templates, managing proposal timelines, and overseeing production support efforts prior to final submission.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in Program Management, Strategic Capture, Proposal Management, and/or Business Development. Alternatively, 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in utilizing systems such as GovWin, FPDS, etc.
  • Skills and Abilities: Experience in Win Theme development, pricing, and staffing activities. Proven track record in leading and negotiating teaming agreements and strategic partnerships. Experience presenting to senior executives, including C-Suite members. Ability to build and maintain a network of clients and industry participants. Demonstrated success in collaborating with subject matter experts, functional leads, and program teams. Comprehensive understanding of various procurement types and contract types.
  • Security Clearance: None required.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience in capturing opportunities for Federal Civilian agencies. 5+ years of technical and/or program management experience.
  • Location: This is a hybrid role requiring in-office work at least 1 day per week, with increased frequency as business needs dictate.

COMPENSATION:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $157,250 - $212,750, subject to adjustment based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
