Job Overview:
General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Senior Capture Manager within its Government Operations, Commerce, and Global Citizen Services Business Sector, a crucial element of GDIT's Federal Civilian Division.

The selected candidate will report to the Sector's Growth Operations Lead and will be tasked with steering the capture processes in collaboration with business development executives and solution architects.

This position will oversee pre-proposal shaping activities, coordinate capture efforts during the proposal phase, and manage post-submission activities, all while leading opportunities valued between $50M and $100M+ towards a high probability of success.


IMPACT OF THE ROLE:

Working closely with Business Development Executives, the Senior Capture Manager is accountable for formulating, executing, and driving successful capture strategies for designated opportunities, encompassing both new projects and recompete contracts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and validating win themes, crafting solutions, conducting competitive assessments, and formulating teaming and pricing strategies based on comprehensive market analysis.
  • Managing the effective execution of capture initiatives, monitoring performance against budget and schedule, and providing status updates to leadership.
  • Supporting Business Development and Account Teams in nurturing high-quality relationships with clients and partners, including next-generation technology vendors.
  • Shaping opportunities and enhancing our competitive position throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  • Creating and implementing an integrated business development, capture, and proposal strategy that clearly articulates GDIT's value proposition and differentiators, providing clients with a compelling rationale for selecting GDIT.
  • Facilitating proposal management activities to support responses to RFPs, RFQs, Task Orders, or RFIs, which may involve developing response templates, managing proposal calendars, and overseeing production efforts prior to final submission.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of practical experience in Program Management, Strategic Capture, Proposal Management, and/or Business Development. Alternatively, 10+ years of hands-on experience in these areas may substitute for a degree.

Technical Skills:
Experience utilizing systems such as GovWin, FPDS, etc.

Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in win theme development, pricing, and staffing activities. Proven experience in leading and negotiating teaming agreements and strategic partnerships. Capable of briefing senior executives, including C-Suite members. Established ability to cultivate and maintain a network of clients and industry participants. Demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating with subject matter experts, functional leads, and program teams. Comprehensive understanding of various procurement types and contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, CPFF, FUP).

Experience in capturing opportunities for Federal Civilian agencies. 5+ years of technical and/or program management experience.

Work Environment:

This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to work from the office at least one day per week, with more frequent in-office presence as business needs dictate.
