Position Overview:

General Dynamics Information Technology is in search of a Senior Capture Executive within its Government Operations, Commerce, and Global Citizen Services Business Sector, a crucial part of GDIT's Federal Civilian Division. The selected candidate will report to the Sector's Growth Operations Lead and will be tasked with steering the capture processes in collaboration with business development leaders and solution architects. This role will oversee pre-proposal shaping initiatives, coordinate capture activities during the proposal phase, and manage post-submission efforts, focusing on opportunities valued between $50M and $100M+ to enhance win probabilities.

IMPACT OF A SENIOR CAPTURE EXECUTIVE:

  • In partnership with Business Development Leaders, the Senior Capture Executive is accountable for crafting, executing, and advancing successful capture strategies for designated opportunities, encompassing both new projects and recompete contracts;
  • Responsible for the development and validation of win themes, solution formulation, competitive analysis, teaming strategies, pricing strategy recommendations (based on price-to-win and other competitive evaluations), communication plans, action plans, and execution strategies;
  • Overseeing the effective management of capture pursuits, monitoring performance against budget and timeline, and updating leadership on progress;
  • Supporting Business Development and/or Account Teams in cultivating and sustaining high-quality relationships with clients and partners, including next-generation technology vendors;
  • Shaping opportunities and enhancing our position throughout the opportunity lifecycle;
  • Formulating and aiding in the communication and execution of an integrated business development, capture, and proposal strategy that distinctly highlights GDIT's value proposition and differentiators, providing clients with a clear rationale for selecting GDIT for awards; and
  • Facilitating proposal management activities to support responses to RFPs, RFQs, Task Orders, or RFIs. These activities may involve creating response templates, managing the proposal calendar, overseeing Sell/B&P budgets, and directing desktop publishing or other production support efforts prior to final submission to the government.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Program Management, Strategic Capture, Proposal Management, and/or Business Development. Alternatively, 10+ years of hands-on experience in these fields without a degree.
  • Technical Skills: Experience utilizing systems such as GovWin, FPDS, etc.
  • Skills and Abilities: Experience in Win Theme development, pricing, and staffing activities. Proven experience leading and negotiating teaming agreements and strategic partnerships. Experience presenting to senior executives, including C-Suite members. Established ability to build and maintain a network of clients and industry participants. Demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating with subject matter experts, functional leads, and program teams. Strong understanding of various procurement types (non-IDIQ and IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts) and contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, CPFF, FUP).
  • Security Clearance: No clearance required.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience in capturing opportunities for Federal Civilian agencies. 5+ years of technical and/or program management experience.
  • Location: This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to work from the office at least 1 day/week, with more frequent attendance as business needs dictate.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $157,250 - $212,750. This range is not a guarantee of compensation; actual salary will be determined based on experience, geographic location, and potentially contractual requirements, and may fall outside this range.
