Job Overview:

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a dynamic and growth-oriented Senior Vice President to spearhead our Government Operations Business Area within the Federal Civilian Division. This area encompasses a wide-ranging portfolio that supports various Federal IT initiatives aimed at delivering comprehensive enterprise infrastructure, digital transformation, shared services, cloud solutions, AI/ML capabilities, application development, and management consulting.

The Vice President will hold complete Profit and Loss (P&L) accountability, tasked with securing new business opportunities while effectively managing existing contracts. This role will oversee a substantial portfolio exceeding $100M annually and will report directly to the GDIT Sector Vice President and General Manager. Success metrics will include specific revenue targets, operating income, contract awards, and the cultivation of robust business relationships both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive oversight and accountability for the Government Operations portfolio, ensuring alignment with Sector, Division, and Company objectives.
  • Manage financial performance with P&L responsibility, striving to meet or surpass financial goals.
  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and service delivery through effective technical and customer oversight.
  • Drive growth in collaboration with Sector and Division resources, focusing on achieving a strong book-to-bill ratio, successful re-compete wins, and year-over-year new business growth.
  • Promote GDIT's culture through accountability, curiosity, results-oriented impact, and positive energy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in managing IT and professional services program portfolios.
  • Experience leading P&L responsibilities for programs valued at $75M/year with positive net margin performance.
  • Proven track record in establishing and nurturing strong client relationships, developing business strategies, and leading high-impact programs.
  • Demonstrated success in launching new business capture initiatives and engaging in capture strategy and proposal development.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities that translate into tangible business outcomes, particularly in team cohesion and strategic thinking.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in formulating and delivering business and technical briefings for senior management and external executives.
  • Willingness to travel locally and within the U.S.
