Biotechnology Business Development Representative

As a Biotechnology Business Development Representative at Mettler-Toledo, you will play a key role in driving sales growth and expanding our presence in the bioprocessing market. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing account penetration plans to drive AutoChem business and targeted growth in biotechnology and bioprocess markets.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively drive opportunity development and advancement, and market penetration, for AutoChem tools in the biotechnology and bioprocess markets to achieve targeted sales numbers aligned with go-to-market strategies.
Work closely with Account Managers and Technology and Application Consultants in the field, developing and executing account penetration plans to develop AutoChem business and specifically targeted growth in Bio/large molecule applications.
Support Account Managers with customer calls and visits, serving as the Bio application expert to assess solution fit, expand opportunity, and discover value.
Develop relationships with visionary and early adopter customers at biopharma and academia institutions to support the adoption of our products and collateral creation.
Work with the Marketing and Bio Market Development Manager, supporting the development of marketing and sales collateral, as well as internal training material, to support growth of identified markets.
Participate and drive customer engagement at select conferences and industry events, as well as AutoChem hosted virtual and in-person events.
Participate in the ongoing development of an AutoChem Bio market strategy.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in bioprocessing, biochemical engineering, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' cumulative experience, including sales and/or lab experience.
Ability to travel 50-70% across the country.
Location in Boston, MA, Baltimore, MD, or the Pacific Northwest is desirable, but a location anywhere in the country with close proximity to an airport will be considered.
This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
