Senior Vice President of Leadership Programs

Position Overview: The Senior Vice President of Leadership Programs will manage Leadership Jacksonville's diverse portfolio of leadership training initiatives – encompassing Leadership Jacksonville, New Leadership Summit, Next Generation, and Youth Leadership Jacksonville – in addition to enhancing the alumni engagement experience for program graduates. This position will spearhead the strategic direction and curriculum development of these programs, crafting and delivering a range of tailored initiatives aimed at educating, connecting, and inspiring a diverse group of leaders to foster and fortify their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the primary leader for Leadership Jacksonville's initiatives, overseeing all facets of the program experience alongside program personnel:
o Direct the design and execution of Leadership Jacksonville's initiatives
o Supervise program personnel and provide guidance for consultants and vendors as necessary
o Establish standard learning outcomes, modify curriculum to meet those outcomes, and assess participant learning to ensure excellence
o Develop and manage annual program budgets, ensuring operational efficiency across all initiatives
o Lead the Leadership Development team and various program leadership committees
o Cultivate a culture of psychological safety and innovation in collaboration with the CEO and team
o Build relationships with participants throughout their program journey, enhancing their connection to Leadership Jacksonville and the broader Northeast Florida community
o Assist the CEO in annual planning for significant initiatives, including the Annual Alumni Luncheon and Community Engagement efforts
• Evaluate all aspects of Leadership Jacksonville's leadership initiatives through effective assessment; develop and communicate program goals and metrics with measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
o Collaborate with program staff to assess initiatives and communicate their effectiveness through data collection
o Share evaluation results for Leadership Jacksonville's initiatives and community events with stakeholders, funders, and alumni in partnership with the CEO
o Monitor success and utilize data to inform strategy, continuous improvement, and growth
o Seek feedback on curriculum from subject matter experts, program stakeholders, national leaders, and alumni, adjusting based on relevant community developments and future innovations
o Provide thought leadership on leadership development opportunities, spanning adult to youth learning best practices
• Mentor program team members and encourage collaboration and continuous improvement
o Act as a thought partner to program staff, sharing best practices and promoting partnership and consistency across initiatives
o Drive knowledge sharing across programs and leverage team talents across various areas
o Serve as the primary contact for continuous program partners whose work intersects with multiple initiatives each year
• Develop effective external recruitment strategies and onboarding processes in collaboration with team members
o Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness
o Promote all initiatives through strategic channels, leveraging Leadership Jacksonville's network, communication platforms, and events to ensure a growing pipeline of high-quality, diverse applicants
o Collaborate with the team to lead the nomination and application process for candidates, interview participants, and manage the selection of cohorts focused on diversity of thought, background, and skillsets
o Assist the CEO in raising awareness of initiatives throughout the community
o Support corporate partners in marketing programs and recruiting ideal candidates
o Lead and facilitate program information sessions
o Represent Leadership Jacksonville at signature and community events
• Collaborate with the CEO to identify priorities and projects aligned with Leadership Jacksonville's strategic plan, translating strategic priorities into actionable, measurable objectives
o Mobilize and guide individual team members to contribute to strategic projects, establishing clear goals, deadlines, and deliverables
o Partner with the CEO to align capacity, budget, and strategy
o Collaborate with the CEO on program fundraising strategies
