The Associate Vice President, Emergency Services, is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and operations of all Emergency Departments across UF Health Jacksonville. This role requires a seasoned professional with excellent leadership and communication skills to drive performance and achieve desired outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and provide strategic direction to all Emergency Departments, including the Downtown ED, North ED, and Free Standing EDs (FSEDs).
  • Oversight of the Trauma Program, Rapid Response Team (RRT), Jail Clinic, and the Midline/Access Team.
  • Collaborate with nursing and senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the mission, vision, and values of UF Health Jacksonville.
  • Monitor performance and ensure desired outcomes are achieved across all Emergency Services locations.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible healthcare management, financial management, and administrative/operational experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in a leadership role at a Magnet Designated hospital and academic medical center with demonstrated success working in a matrixed management model.
  • Previous Director and/or CNO experience.
  • Experience with the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program.
  • Experience working in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
