POSITION SUMMARY:

Join the dynamic Oncology Sales team at Gateway Recruiting, INC. as a skilled field-based Account Manager. This role is pivotal in collaborating with sales leadership to enhance market sales strategies and expand business opportunities for oncology healthcare providers and facilities. The Account Manager will effectively promote our innovative liquid biopsy solutions while establishing and nurturing relationships with healthcare practices, cancer treatment centers, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and academic medical institutions within the designated territory. This position demands a proactive approach, enthusiasm, and a commitment to delivering exceptional oncology diagnostic products and services for patients battling cancer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive strategic growth and partnership opportunities with:
  • Leading cancer treatment centers and clinics / Top oncology practices in the region
  • Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Academic Medical Institutions (AMIs) within the specified area.
  • Develop comprehensive strategic plans for acquiring and retaining both new and existing clients.
  • Maximize contracting opportunities with clients.
  • Establish laboratory services agreements (LSAs) with billing institutions.
  • Collaborate with various sales roles (Sales Director, Regional Sales Directors, District Sales Managers, Strategic Account Managers, and Account Executives) to achieve company objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities between prospective oncology clients and Gateway Recruiting, INC.
  • Promote compliance with new digital molecular information tools for all clients.
  • Continuously assess the competitive landscape and environment within assigned accounts to identify trends and relay customer insights to leadership.
  • Monitor sales performance to ensure targets are met.
  • Formulate and execute a detailed business plan for the territory, including budgeting, travel, territory management, and goal setting.
  • Work collaboratively with team members across multiple departments within Gateway Recruiting, INC.
  • Embody and represent the company culture to both internal and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostics environment with a proven track record of exceeding performance expectations.
  • 3-5 years of experience engaging with major cancer centers and clinics, oncology group purchasing organizations (GPOs), large health systems, IDNs, and substantial oncology practices.
  • Demonstrated success in revenue generation within a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology context.
  • Ability to present an integrated MolDx solution utilizing the company's advanced sequencing technology to potential clients.
  • Skilled in a consultative sales approach that effectively addresses objections while aligning client needs with company capabilities.
  • Comfortable engaging with executive-level stakeholders (CEO, COO, CFO).
  • Strong understanding of the payer and reimbursement landscape in oncology and diagnostics.
  • Ability to work autonomously, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of molecular diagnostics for oncology and the evolving competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge necessary to achieve sales and marketing goals.
  • Proficient in oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics, and targeted therapies.
  • Excellent negotiation and customer service capabilities.
  • Outstanding strategic sales account planning skills.
  • Superior listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Consistent success in closing sales throughout the sales cycle.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to develop and leverage cross-functional relationships to achieve work objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and interface with management.
  • Strong decision-making and technical learning skills.
  • Robust administrative skills to navigate complex business environments.
  • Demonstrate company values through integrity, respect, trust, and a positive attitude, while understanding the dynamics of organizational growth and change.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (> 50%) within the territory as required.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, biology, business, or marketing preferred.
