Job Overview:
As the Event Venue Operations Supervisor, you will oversee the seamless execution of events within our venues, ensuring that all setups align with client expectations and standards. Your role encompasses the management of cleanliness protocols, guaranteeing that our facilities are impeccably maintained and sanitized at all times. You will be the first point of contact for our guests, proactively addressing their needs and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Effective communication with clients and team members is essential to facilitate successful event outcomes.

Compensation: Salary range of $70,000 to $75,000 Annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, and oversee the event service team, working closely with the Executive Director of Operations to provide guidance and support.
  • Participate in scheduled BEO meetings to gain insights into event requirements, including equipment setups, staging, lighting, and storage needs.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of daily events and allocate tasks effectively among staff members.
  • Lead the event service team to uphold high standards of efficiency, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Coordinate with the receiving department to ensure timely and complete linen orders, maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Engage with clients on the day of their events, offering assistance and addressing any requests.
  • Establish and implement a systematic cleaning regimen covering all areas, including restrooms and common spaces.
  • Document and track daily housekeeping tasks to ensure accountability and completion.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training for housekeeping and event service staff, emphasizing cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Manage all aspects of housekeeping operations, including scheduling and quality control.
  • Supervise event setups, ensuring that cleanliness and organization meet client satisfaction.
  • Create weekly schedules for the event team and manage payroll processes.
  • Compile detailed reports for each event to inform future planning.
  • Oversee AV production logistics, ensuring the protection of venue integrity during load-ins and load-outs.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the overnight team to enhance operational knowledge.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Assist the Executive Director of Operations in maintaining high cleanliness standards across the venue.
  • Organize team meetings to discuss performance, quality, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all linen and lumber orders are accurately placed and received.
  • Manage event logistics, including load-ins, setups, and breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with the sales team and clients to determine event requirements.
  • Adhere to safety and cleanliness protocols throughout the venue.
  • Engage in special projects aimed at continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
  • Participate in all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
  • Fulfill any reasonable requests from direct supervisors as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years of management experience in Event Services, Housekeeping Management, or related fields.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and rectify cleanliness issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours based on business needs.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform essential job functions safely and effectively.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
  • Ability to operate machinery and tools safely.
Other Responsibilities:
