Position Summary

The Event Operations Supervisor at City Winery will oversee the execution of event logistics in collaboration with the Manager on Duty (MOD). This role involves facilitating food and beverage service as directed by the MOD, liaising with the kitchen team, and upholding the standards outlined in our Events Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Event Operations Supervisor will ensure exceptional hospitality is delivered to clients and their guests.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the MOD to implement all event logistics, including pre-event planning, setup, execution, and post-event breakdown.
  • Communicate effectively with the MOD to review logistics and provide on-site support, ensuring the event meets client expectations.
  • Maintain the highest standards of event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Foster positive brand impressions to build lasting relationships with clients and guests, driving business retention and growth.
  • Work closely with the Event Sales Team, Executive Chef, Winery Department, General Manager, and Front of House Managers to fulfill event requirements.
  • Execute the service strategy as established by the MOD.
  • Regularly check in with the MOD to ensure adherence to service standards, event timelines, and menu execution.
  • Organize, print, and distribute detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with MOD approval, coordinating with other departments for seamless event execution.
  • Manage equipment inventory, process rental orders, and coordinate rental pickups.
  • Ensure the venue is thoroughly prepared and organized for event execution.
  • Assist the MOD with external vendors, including equipment logistics and rental organization.
  • Oversee printed materials such as menus and labels.
  • Complete post-event tasks, including room resets and organizing rental equipment for collection, in accordance with MOD expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in event operations management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategizing and executing on-premise events.
  • A solid understanding of the music, food, and wine industries.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to follow directions from the MOD.
  • Capability to handle challenging situations with composure.
  • Outstanding hospitality and customer service skills.
  • Proven event operations experience and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to multitask, delegate, and manage various responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of health department regulations and compliance.
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficient in English, with the ability to read, write, and perform basic business-related mathematics.
