Become an integral part of our county's infrastructure team. We are looking for dedicated individuals to assist in the upkeep and enhancement of the safety and quality of our County Roads through various maintenance tasks.

Key Qualifications: A strong willingness to learn and collaborate with colleagues is essential, along with a firm commitment to personal responsibility. A high school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory. While prior experience with heavy machinery is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement as we are committed to providing the necessary training and support for your success. Within six months, we will assist you in obtaining your CDL (Commercial Driver's License), which will broaden your skills and career prospects in this field.

Responsibilities:

Road Operations Specialist:

  • Participate in all aspects of road construction and maintenance to ensure the safety and quality of County Roads.
  • Engage in the upkeep of street signage, sidewalks, pothole repairs, storm drain cleaning, crack sealing of asphalt, flagging, and other related tasks.
Senior Road Operations Specialist:
  • Utilize and operate heavy machinery such as loaders, graders, backhoes, bulldozers, street sweepers, and large trucks for hauling. Responsibilities also include snow plowing, grading gravel roads, installing chip seal, and performing overlay with a paver.
Qualifications:

Road Operations Specialist: Pay Grade F - $21.44
  • Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with peers.
  • Strong dedication to personal accountability.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Preferred: One year of experience operating heavy machinery, but not required.
  • Able to secure a Class A Commercial Driver's License within six months.
Senior Road Operations Specialist: Pay Grade H - $25.47
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience; plus, proficiency in operating at least three (3) of the following types of equipment: loader, backhoe, grader, or dozer; and a minimum of 600 hours of operating time. Must meet the qualifications of a Road Operations Specialist.
