While prior experience in operating heavy machinery is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite - we are committed to offering training and support to ensure your success. Within six months, we will assist you in obtaining your CDL (Commercial Driver's License), which will enhance your skills and career prospects in this field.

Responsibilities:
Road Operations Specialist:
- Engage in all aspects of road construction and maintenance to ensure the safety and quality of County Roads.
- Perform maintenance tasks including street sign upkeep, sidewalk repairs, pothole patching, storm drain and culvert cleaning, crack sealing asphalt, flagging, and other related duties.
- Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, graders, track hoes, backhoes, bulldozers, street sweepers, and large trucks for hauling heavy equipment. Responsibilities also include snow plowing, gravel road grading, chip seal installation, and overlaying with a paver.
Road Operations Specialist: Pay Grade F - $21.44
- Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Strong dedication to personal accountability.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Preferred: One year of experience operating heavy equipment, though not required.
- Able to secure a Class A Commercial Driver's License within six months.
- Three (3) years of experience, plus proficiency in operating at least three (3) of the following pieces of equipment: loader, backhoe, grader, or dozer; with a minimum of 600 hours of operating time. Must meet the qualifications of a Road Operations Specialist.
