City Groundskeeper

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically fit individual to join our parks maintenance division as a Parks Laborer. This is a seasonal position that requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

• Perform general clean-up and grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing, pruning, and weeding.
• Assist with facilities upkeep, including repairs and maintenance of equipment and buildings.
• Participate in special event set-up and tear-down, including decorating and cleaning.
• Operate and maintain landscape equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
• Assist with snow removal and other winter maintenance tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

• Be at least 17 years old.
• Have had one year of driving experience.
• Possess a valid driver's license and have had it for at least 12 months.
• Be able to work varying schedules, including on-call and variable hours.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for the work and teamwork.
• Demonstrate familiarity with basic hand tools and landscape equipment.
• Be able to work in the outdoor environment and perform physical duties of the position.

This is a physically demanding position that requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. The work schedule will vary depending on the season, with summer hours typically being Monday to Friday, 6:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and fall/winter hours being on-call and variable.
