Job Title: Digital System Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital System Designer to join our System-Architecture team at PsiQuantum. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the design and development of our photonic quantum computer.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop digital logic systems for our photonic quantum computer.
  • Collaborate with our team to define and implement algorithms and methods for solving time-critical tasks in the data-plane of our optical quantum computer.
  • Develop hardware primitives for our algorithms and work closely with digital designers to optimize designs for performance, latency, and footprint constraints.
  • Write Python models to be integrated into our proprietary discrete-time-event simulation tool.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant work or academic research experience.
  • Strong critical thinking, creative, innovative, analytical, and detail-oriented problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences.
  • Confirmed Python programmer with a focus on writing clear code in a collaborative environment.
Desired Experience:
  • Distributed system experience involving event correlation from multiple sources under real-time constraints.
  • Experience with Hardware Definition Languages (e.g., VHDL, Verilog) and High-Level Synthesis tools (e.g., Xilinx Vitis).
  • Background in photonics.
