Job Title: Senior Power Systems Integration Engineer

At Tesla, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation in the automotive industry. As a Senior Power Systems Integration Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing low voltage power distribution systems for our next-generation vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect and design vehicle low voltage power systems, including power distribution, power management, and network management.
  • Translate vehicle product requirements into actionable software and hardware requirements, and define system hardware and software interfaces.
  • Lead system behavior design of low voltage power distribution products and features.
  • Bring-up and debug early software and hardware prototypes, ensuring systems perform to requirements and supporting validation teams in developing component and system level testing strategies.
  • Understand and debug hardware and software interactions during design, launch, and deployment of products or features.
  • Analyze changes to assess impact to systems, summarizing impacted devices, interfaces, and processes in the hardware and software domain.
  • Perform FMEA and HARA for low voltage power systems.
  • Provide technical direction for electrical, software, manufacturing, and service teams, serving as a system leader.
  • Help various cross-functional teams understand how their systems and related decisions impact low voltage power systems.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Strong C/C++ comprehension.
  • Comfortable with Electrical Engineering fundamentals.
  • Strong hardware schematic and layout comprehension.
  • Experience with embedded systems.
  • Excellent hands-on debugging skills for complex subsystems involving network microprocessors and software-controlled electrical or electromechanical devices.
  • Ability to analyze data to improve design and performance of a system.
  • Understanding of hardware and software development processes.
  • Exceptional capacity for managing simultaneous activities and challenges.

Expected Compensation:

$120,000 - $252,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits.

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
