About Our Houston Campus

ExxonMobil's modern campus located north of Houston is home to our Upstream, Product Solutions, and Low Carbon Solutions divisions along with their respective service groups. This facility, which opened in 2014, accommodates over 10,000 employees and visitors.

Role Overview

Provide support for on-demand map production and spatial analysis across ExxonMobil's diverse portfolio of Oil & Gas assets, leveraging extensive expertise in ArcGIS 10.8.x and ArcPro 3.x.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop interactive web-based applications utilizing Experience Builder, ArcGIS Enterprise, Server, and Portal environments.
  • Digitize intricate meets and bounds using ArcGIS software within an SDE environment, linking to data in Land Management systems.
  • Execute queries in the land management system to assess daily workload and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate across various oil and gas functions to analyze and deliver projects with minimal oversight.
Candidate Profile

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Geography, Geographic Information Science, or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in mapping spatial data from land survey descriptions, including metes and bounds or quarter calls.
  • At least 3 years' experience managing data within SDE databases.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in the upstream oil & gas sector.
  • At least 5 years of GIS experience using ESRI software, with a preference for ArcGIS and ArcPro.
  • Solid understanding of core GIS concepts, including coordinate systems, transformations, and projections.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret customer requests often expressed in non-technical language to identify optimal solutions.
  • Experience with Oracle Databases or Microsoft SQL for spatial data storage and query development.
Consideration may be given to a combination of the above experiences.

Preferred Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of ESRI products, including Portal, ArcGIS Server, SDE, and GeoEvent Server.
  • Familiarity with Quorum Land, MyQuorum, and QuorumGIS.
  • Experience managing an enterprise GIS within Azure or AWS cloud environments.
  • Ability to utilize Model Builder in GIS for process automation, data maintenance, and geoprocessing.
  • Proficiency in developing solutions using ESRI JavaScript API, Experience Builder, Python API, and Arcade.
  • Experience with Alteryx.
