Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and analytical individual to join our team at TC Energy. As a key player in our organization, you will contribute to our mission of transitioning North America to cleaner energy while addressing the energy needs of today and the future.

Role Responsibilities

Your primary focus will be on conducting detailed analyses related to pipeline cost structures, revenue generation, and volume assessments to facilitate the development of interstate natural gas transportation rates. Your role will also encompass:

  • Creating and refining Excel models to evaluate volume and cost data, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses across various service categories.
  • Providing insightful research and analysis on financial and regulatory initiatives, along with preparing and presenting summaries of your findings.
  • Collaborating within a cross-functional team to implement and execute strategies for pipeline rate development.
  • Assisting in the preparation of regulatory filings, which requires thorough research and application of your findings to our company-specific projects.
  • Participating in rate proceedings and preparing necessary testimony and exhibits.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience, with a solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, particularly in economics, finance, or accounting.
  • Proficiency in developing complex Excel models and presenting analyses with minimal oversight.
Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are advantageous:

  • An MBA degree.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team environment.
