Position Overview

The Regional Sales Executive is responsible for driving growth and achieving sales objectives within a designated area by effectively leading the sales team. This role involves crafting and executing a comprehensive business strategy aimed at expanding Avantor's clientele and reinforcing its market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities and shifts while maintaining awareness of competitive products.
  • Set sales targets by forecasting and developing annual quotas for various regions; project anticipated sales volume and profitability for both existing and new offerings.
  • Lead a team of 8 to 10 Sales Representatives, providing ongoing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure effective territory management and the achievement of sales and profit goals.
  • Oversee a multi-million dollar region, devising and implementing strategies to deepen market penetration, focusing on large, integrated, and global clients across sectors such as Education, Medical Research, Pharmaceuticals, Biopharma, and Industrial.

Qualifications

  • Education: A college degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in building high-level customer relationships and managing account development.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.

  • Recruit, train, and establish performance expectations for all sales personnel in the region.
  • Continuously assess team performance and provide both formal and informal training to enhance sales skills.
  • Develop innovative programs and strategies to motivate the sales force and drive revenue growth.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts for key accounts directly.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and analyze sales data to monitor performance within the region.
  • Manage key product sales effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and service providers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Compensation:

The expected pre-tax salary for this position ranges from $127,000 to $212,500. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience and location.
