Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven sales professional to become a vital part of our North America sales division. As a Market Development Manager, you will be responsible for selling, promoting, and showcasing the RIDGID & Greenlee product lines, which include a variety of tools and equipment. The preferred candidate will ideally be located in the Bay Area. This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager for the Western Region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the direction, coordination, and expansion of all utility market sales through direct engagement with customers and collaboration with local ProTools Territory Managers.
  • Work effectively in a matrix-managed environment, providing guidance and support to regional Territory Managers.
  • Conduct field product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical support for end-users and distribution partners.
  • Drive sales of strategic new products and solutions to enhance market presence and share.
  • Develop, present, and implement annual business plans aimed at achieving incremental sales growth.
  • Manage and forecast monthly/yearly sales projections.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with Key Distributor Partners and End Users.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for products, applications, and pricing strategies within your market.
  • Support regional and national organizations through training initiatives and special project execution.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Experience with distribution channels, particularly in Electrical, Industrial, and Plumbing sectors.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or a related field; or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • A proven track record in formulating, presenting, executing, and evaluating a Territory Business Plan to achieve sales growth.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in conducting field product demonstrations, training, and troubleshooting with end-users and distribution.
  • A successful history of achieving sales targets and goals.
  • The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five years of proven experience in Sales, Marketing, or technical support within B2B environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM applications is a plus.
