About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our team in Baltimore, MD. As an expert on the practices, delivery networks, and patient populations within their territory, the successful candidate will represent UCB in the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the local market conditions and be able to create and execute strategic business plans to consistently exceed territory sales objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Representing UCB in the communities we serve
  • Creating and executing strategic business plans
  • Mastering brand messaging, targeting, and digital technology
  • Delivering persuasive, high-impact customer experiences
  • Maintaining the highest ethical standards

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients with rare diseases.

What You'll Do

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for:

  • Consistently exceeding territory sales objectives
  • Creating and executing strategic business plans
  • Mastery of targeted disease states, including patient journeys, standards of care, and treatment drivers
  • Advocating for rare disease patients and serving as the authority on UCB's tools and resources
  • Continuously expanding the expertise of treating and referring physicians, as well as payers, hospital systems, pharmacies, labs, and other components of the care continuum

You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to share insights on customer needs and market opportunities, and collaborate towards more effective approaches to patient value creation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of field-based experience in sales, account management, and/or field reimbursement in biopharmaceuticals or healthcare
  • Field experience with Buy-and-Bill medical benefits, Specialty Pharmacy, and HUB delivery models
  • Verifiable record of sustained high sales performance and achievement in top 30% nationally
  • Experience in successful product launches
  • The ability to maximize impact of multichannel/digital tools and strategy/tactics with territory HCPs
  • Proven success managing complex individualized cases and projects
  • Command of key medical, scientific, and healthcare concepts, language, and practices related to neurology and rare diseases
