Position Overview:
The role of the Polymer Additive Manufacturing Engineer involves engaging in various projects focused on the development of polymer materials, process optimization for extrusion, material evaluation, component testing, printed electronics, and failure analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate in the planning and execution of assigned tasks efficiently.
2. Deliver comprehensive and timely documentation related to project activities.
3. Utilize analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve challenges as they occur.
4. Adhere to established standard operating procedures relevant to the role.
5. Follow company policies and procedures pertinent to the work environment.

Additional Duties:
1. Innovate and maintain new methodologies linked to polymer additive manufacturing and printed electronics.
2. Assist the engineering team in the production of additively manufactured components for various projects.
3. Design and evaluate prototypes and concepts.
4. Present findings and data to the engineering team in a structured and clear manner.
5. Maintain laboratory equipment and manage material inventories essential for experimental tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, with a preference for candidates with manufacturing experience.
- Basic mechanical skills and 1-2 years of experience in polymer additive manufacturing techniques, including FDM and SLA processes.
- Ability to follow testing protocols and perform experiments using additive manufacturing equipment and basic laboratory tools.
- Fundamental understanding of computer systems and networks.
- Proficient in data analysis and Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills with colleagues and management.
- Commitment to safety practices in all work areas.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team setting.
- Basic knowledge of electronics and soldering is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with materials testing and relevant equipment such as tensile load frames and rheology instruments.
- Familiarity with various polymers and processing technologies.
- Consistently produces high-quality work and contributes to enhancing quality and efficiency.
- Demonstrates critical problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of fundamental principles.
- Knowledge of 3D printing and electronic screen printing processes.
- Experience in managing print runs and conducting quality assessments during production cycles.
