Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Controls Engineer to enhance our team, focusing on the extraction of rare earth elements within our specialized metal refining facility.

Your role will involve leveraging your technical skills to optimize processes that extract vital materials used in clean energy applications, electric vehicles, and advanced electronic devices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement customized control systems for rare earth metal refining, addressing critical phases such as material handling, extraction, and electrolysis.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to formulate control strategies that improve operational efficiency.
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques to evaluate refining systems, develop precise models, and enhance control algorithms for better yield and purity.
  • Oversee PLC programming, HMI interfaces, and SCADA systems tailored to the needs of rare earth metal refining machinery.
  • Ensure the effective integration of hardware components with control systems through meticulous configuration and commissioning.
  • Deploy SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and data collection, facilitating efficient process management.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing to verify adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Provide technical assistance during the installation, startup, and operational phases of control systems.
  • Work alongside IT professionals to establish secure communication protocols and mitigate cyber risks.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred). A minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial control system design, particularly in chemical processing or metallurgy. Proficiency in PLC programming and SCADA systems is essential. A solid understanding of control theory principles and methodologies is required.

Experience with process instrumentation and industrial communication protocols is advantageous. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and convey technical concepts effectively is crucial.
